U.S. actress Meghan Markle has been baptized by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the spiritual head of the Church of England, ahead of her royal wedding in May to Britain's Prince Harry, the Daily Mail newspaper reported today.

Plans surrounding the baptism were kept a closely guarded secret, with only a few royal aides involved.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in Birmingham to meet the local community and learn about the projects available for young people.

Thomas and Radlan are divorced, but both are supportive of Markle's romance with Prince Harry.

Any time one of Meghan Markle's siblings are mentioned, it's hard not to enter full, eyeroll mode.

Had Warner fronted up he might have been banned from playing in the second test at St George's Park on Friday. Former West Indies player Gibson added: "I think everybody just needs to focus on cricket".

Straying from tradition to hug a young fan, however, doesn't seem to be that big of a deal: Kate Middleton has done it a few times, as has Princess Diana, and Markle herself embraced a charity worker who was inspired by her United Nations speech just last month. Markle, 36, is believed to have been baptized at the Chapel Royal at St. James' Palace on Tuesday.

Harry was speaking to 10-year-old Sophia Richards when she told the prince about her aspirations to become an actress in the future.

The Mail said Harry's father, heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were present but Queen Elizabeth, the titular head of the Church of England, was not.
