All Blacks Sevens beaten again in Vancouver

That splendid show in Vancouver saw Kenya pile pressure on seventh-placed England, who now have 70 points. Their form didn't continue against Samoa however as they held England to a 7-0 first half and followed with a further two tries in the second half to seal a 21-5 final scoreline. Kenya and Fiji were meeting for the second time in the final, but it was their 37th meeting in the series.

Vancouver Champions Fiji will headline Pool A where they will battle with fellow pacific rivals New Zealand and Samoa as well as Russian Federation.

The All Blacks Sevens are now second in the standings, 10 points behind South Africa, heading into the sixth round of the series.

England hammered Australia 31-4 to clinch fifth place, while Scotland beat Spain 25-5 to win the Challenge Trophy.

South Africa claimed the bronze medal after a 29-7 thrashing of the USA - who had opted to rest a whole host of stars.

New Zealand had earlier beaten Scotland and Russian Federation in contrasting matches, battling to defeat the Scots 31-26 before dissecting Russian Federation 31-5 and going on to account for South Africa 33-14. South Africa stayed at the top with an improved tally of 109 points.

"I'm speechless, really proud of the boys", Fiji captain Jerry Tuwai said.

The match against Fiji was the second over the weekend after both sides met in the preliminary rounds with the Fijians winning 24-21.
