Apple has unveiled a new iPad targeted squarely at education in a bid to take on the popularity of the Google Chromebook in schools. It comes with a 32.4-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. Since then, Apple has kept its Pencil support limited to only the iPad Pro series. Another big highlight is support for Augmented Reality applications. Chromebooks have several advantages with a sales price as low as $200, a keyboard and a skinny operating system that updates automatically when connected to the internet. Apple is selling the pencil separately for $99 and promised free Personal Setup for every customer buying from any of its retail stores. The 32GB with Wi-Fi model will be available in India for Rs 28,000. For example, the wifi+cellular model will set you back by ₹38,600 for the unit with 32GB internal storage.

Its Retina display, powerful chip, enhanced cameras and advanced sensors, including a gyroscope and accelerometer for accurate motion tracking, are created to support the next generation of AR apps.
