Henrique: PSG Not Searching For Emery Successor

Brazil without Neymar has proven to be a below-par team.

Neymar will return to Paris in around two to three weeks, according to head coach Unai Emery. After being stretchered off Paris' Parc des Princes, Neymar underwent emergency surgery to fix a broken bone in his right foot.

But Emery believes Neymar is closing in on a return to the pitch, although Saturday's Coupe de la Ligue final against Monaco will come far too soon.

"We spoke about the final", Emery said. "He's going to follow the game".

That time frame would have meant Neymar's PSG season was over.

In a book titled "PSG: Revelations of a Revolution" published earlier this week, the writers claimed Neymar, who moved to PSG in a €222 million world-record transfer, had been given financial incentives to do so.

Tuchel is said to have met with PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi in Qatar after the club's elimination from the Champions League at the hands of reigning champions Real Madrid in February and, after extensive talks took place between the pair during and after that initial meeting, a deal seems to have been struck.

On Friday, Monaco defender Kamil Glik told a press conference that PSG will miss Neymar "but that doesn't change much for us".

Since assuming office, the former Sevilla and Valencia manager has been in charge of 104 matches, consisting of 82 wins and 11 defeats, and winning three of France's four domestic trophies to date.

The Ligue 1 leaders also stressed that Neymar will not be rushed back into action, even if the capital club hope to see him play again before the end of the campaign. After that, Neymar & Co. will fly to Russian Federation to join their teammates for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
