This change wiped hundreds of kilograms off the Camaro's kerb weight model for model, earning it high praise as the most adept muscle auto to drive.

The 2019 model year refresh also sees the addition of a new variant for the Camaro, the Turbo 1LE. The front fascia has been completely re-worked, as has the rear. Right now, we are trying to reserve passing judgment on the new looks, but our knee-jerk reaction was not great. Let us know: how do you feel about the new design? For 2018, the 1LE package is only available for the V6 models as well as both V8 model (SS, ZL1), but starting with 2019, buyers can get the turbocharged 4-cylinder mill with the 1LE upgrades. Also, the SS "Flowtie" badge moves from the upper grille to the middle of the bumper area, with a paint scheme that blends the upper and lower openings. Gone are the two scoops flanking the sculpted lines of the muscular hood.

There's a new Chevrolet Camaro on its way to dealers. As on the coupe, the LED headlights and hood have also been restyled.

The Camaro RS also gets some front end tweaks.

The 2019 Chevy Camaro lineup is getting a slight overhaul with new designs and updated tech and performance features. The biggest change, however, is the rounded rear taillights. They honestly remind us of something that would be more at home on a Malibu, but they aren't the worse thing in the world. Resident dies, six firefighters injured in Trump Tower fire
A fire in his 5th Avenue building Saturday, with no sprinklers present, left one person dead and multiple firefighters injured. Eric later called out mental health counselor Jeffrey Guterman, who tweeted that he hoped the fire at Trump Tower continued.

The V8-powered SS model comes with a 10-speed automatic gearbox option, with custom launch control. Leveraging the impressive performance and ideal weight distribution enabled by Camaro's 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, the Turbo 1LE comes exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and a tailored chassis package derived from the V-6 1LE to offer track-capable performance. It includes an FE suspension with larger diameter front and rear stabilizer bars, tuned dampers, stiffer rear cradle bushings and cross-axis ball joints in the rear tow links for better lateral stiffness. The near-50/50 front-to-rear weight balance also foreshadows that it will be a nimble and fun vehicle, regardless.

The 2019 Camaro offers a more "personalized experience" with Chevrolet's latest Infotainment 3 interface. A rear view camera is standard, but Chevrolet is offering a rear camera mirror, too.

Overall, the updates are relatively minor but help to enhance one of the greatest Camaros ever produced.

Paull said HSV was "very happy" with the response from potential buyers after the brand announced late previous year that it would bring in and convert Camaros, helping to whet Australia's appetite for V8 performance muscle. After all, it can't look any worse than the new Mustang.
