Now the studio has finally detailed the second playable character, Maya, with a stunning new cinematic trailer that offers an idea of what to expect from her in the game.

Overkill's The Walking Dead has revealed the latest survivor to join the grisly zombie-head-stomping actioner in an eerie new character reveal trailer.

The trailer, which you can see above, features Maya and a young doctor battling against the undead, who come thrashing their way into a hospital when a victim brought in suddenly turns and begins infecting others.

Presently advertised for a Fall 2018 release, you will be able to explore the ruins of Washington, D.C. with your pals on PS4, Xbox One and PC. And while concrete details on Overkill's The Walking Dead are scarce at this point, what we do know about the game makes it seem like it has potential, so hopefully its first gameplay trailer helps build up the hype.
