"We're The Underdogs": Flyers Ready To Take On Pens In NHL Playoffs

Hulu has signed on as an official sponsor of the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs and Final, expanding the streaming service's live sports content as it works to compete with Amazon.com, Facebook and other over-the-top services.

The multifaceted agreement will lead to a national marketing campaign across all of the North American ice hockey league's digital and social channels, while Hulu will also benefit from camera-visible, in-stadium branding within all United States venues.

Hulu debuted its live-TV service in May 2017 and has found that live sports has been a significant driver of subscription signups.

Sportsnet NOW is also available in the iOS App Store, the Google Play Store, Apple TV 4th Gen and above, Chromecast, Xbox One and desktop.

With Hulu becoming an National Hockey League partner, of course, that means you will be able to watch every game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, including the Stanley Cup Finals.

Subscribers to Hulu's live TV service will be able to stream the National Hockey League postseason on NBC, NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), CNBC, USA Network and Golf Channel.

The Flyers are embracing the underdog role as they head into the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs. This week, Hulu becomes an official partner for the of the playoffs. As part of these plans, Hulu and the National Hockey League Players' Association will jointly create video vignettes that will feature NHL stars. The Flyers have lost four meetings in a row with the Penguins and are 1-5 in their last six at the Consol Energy Center but they will have to buck that trend and snap out of their road losing ways if they're going to continue their chase of the Stanley Cup.

"Tomorrow, we'll be embarking on the most exciting and unpredictable time in sports with the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs", said Keith Wachtel, NHL Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President.

"We're the underdogs", said head coach Dave Hakstol. Viewers were able to select their favorite winter sports and college basketball teams, and from there a tailored experience was surfaced in the Hulu product UI based on those preferences.
