The victor of the $533 million Mega Millions jackpot officially came forward. "It was truly incredible". Some of my family members were sleeping so I didn't go and scream out.

He revealed himself as the mystery victor during Friday's news conference at New Jersey Lottery headquarters in Trenton. For the time being, the winning ticket was kept in a safe.

"My mom called and said 'I heard someone from New Jersey won the lottery, was it you?'" Wahl said, "and I said, 'Absolutely not". He plans stay at his job to help with the transition for a bit and then he says he will officially retire.

"We believe God has a plan", he said. 'It's not only life changing money for me, but I want it to be life changing money for family, friends, people in need'. 'We're a humble family.

He said he's not a regular lottery player, but chose to play after talking to a coworker about how they'd retire if they won. He spent $20 on quick pick tickets and a Diet Coke just hours before the numbers were drawn.
