Less than three weeks into the 2018 season, the Twins on Friday, April 13, postponed their second game of the season because of snow, with Saturday's matinee against the White Sox nearly sure to follow, leaving big scheduling headaches for both teams.

And there's no guarantee they'll be able to play Sunday, when the series is scheduled to wrap up at Target Field. The announcement of a rescheduled game will come at a later time.

This weekend is the first time since Target Field opened in 2010 that three consecutive games have been called off by weather. The teams also close the season at Target Field on September 28-30.

The Twins beat Chicago 4-0 on Thursday. The clubs have a few other mutual days between now and then. Miguel Gonzalez faces Lance Lynn on Saturday and Carlson Fulmer takes on Jake Odorizzi on Sunday.

Starting pitcher Jose Berrios struck out a career-high 11 in seven innings for Minnesota, improving his record on the young season to 2-1. Minnesota does not need a fifth starter until April 24, which gives Phil Hughes more time at the team's Florida facility as he recovers from a strained left oblique muscle.
