BJP Releases Second List of 82 Candidates For Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018

Patra said people will teach the Congress "a lesson" in the Karnataka Assembly polls as they had in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections when it was reduced to 44 seats.

Otr prominent candidates in the second list are former BJP Ministers Murgesh Nirani, Hartalu Halappa, M.P. Renukacharya, Krishnaiah Shetty, and K. Subramanya Naidu and Kumar Bangarappa, who switched over from the ruling Congress and is the son of former Chief Minister S. Bangarappa.

Karnataka Home Minister R Ramalinga Reddy will contest from BTM Layout, while his daughter Sowmya Reddy will contest from Jayanagar.

The JDS candidate from Chamundeshwari, Mr G T Devegowda, lends credence to the argument as he is making a determined bid to wrest the seat from the Congress.

On Sunday, the Congress announced a list of 218 candidates for the Assembly elections due in Karnataka on May 12. The results will be out on May 15. Sunil Naik who was battling it out with JD Naik for the party ticket finally secured the ticket from Bhatkal-Honnavar constituency.

Earlier, a statement was released by the family spokesperson reading that Mrs Bush had undergone series of hospitalisations. Bush is being cared for at her home in Houston and has decided she does not want to go back into the hospital.

Kumar Bangarappa quit the Congress past year and joined the BJP.

Taking a jibe at the Congress President, Javadekar said, "Rahulji had led a candlelight march at night but why don't he take action against his own leader?" The party president Asaduddin Owaisi said it has chose to support the JD (S) after "due consideration and consultations". He earlier represented Sorab constituency.Among the prominent constituencies for which the party is yet to announce its candidates are Varuna, for which party's chief ministerial candidate and former chief minister B.S. Yeddyurappa's son B.Y. Vijayendra is said to be a strong contender. Supporters of five-time MLA DB Inamdar were angry because the party has not announced its candidate from the Kittur constituency.

"For its appeasement politics, the Congress targeted and defamed Hindus and the country for merely some votes".

The All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has seven members in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Our Chief Minister, along with others, came from JD (S) and so he gives more importance to them.

Senior Congress leader's son Priyank Kharge was given a ticket and he will contest the polls from the Chitapur (Reserved) seat in Gulbarga district.
