First big Galaxy S10 report may have just revealed key details

Looking back into the past weeks, it's certainly obvious that we've learned so much about Samsung's rumored foldable phone, the Galaxy X, and Apple's next-generation iPhone SE2 device.

Commenting on the development, Marius Klijzing, Senior Product Manager Mobile of Samsung Netherlands disclosed that at first glance the Red Bull Ring Pack looks like a normal Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphone. Now a patent surfaced in the Chinese patent office showing Samsung phone design with a notch.

The patent application reveals designs with completely bezel-less display with the notch housing the usual set of proximity sensor, earpiece, and a selfie camera. There's no bottom lip visible, which indicates that Samsung is employing Apple's expensive solution of bending the display at the edges to accommodate the driver underneath the panel. In other features, the smartphone includes a fingerprint scanner and iris scanner for biometric authentication, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. However, Samsung has a better resolution and pixel density than iPhone X.
