"I can't say enough about (crew chief) Adam Stevens and my guys and the pit crew tonight", Busch said.

This is the second time in his career that Busch has won three races in a row. "They got us off pit road first those last two times that we came down for tires and got us to where we needed to be". Hamlin would fall short of teammate, Kyle Busch, but he'd claim his fourth Top-5 finish of the season. Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top-five.

Busch started 32nd after a conservative qualifying strategy backfired.

The Toyota Racing's field was completed with Daniel Suarez in tenth, Erik Jones in 13th, Martin Truex 14th, and Gray Gaulding in 35th.

Caution Flags: 6 for 46 laps.

Busch also celebrated with the fans in the stands after the race, and the cheers for Busch appeared to pick up compared to previous years.

The point is that while Busch and his team will need both a top notch performance and some luck to be in contention for a fourth consecutive win, you can be pretty confident that they will take care of that first part. "I wondered if I'd come out alive".

"I think it's easier to win the Powerball than to win at Talladega", Busch joked. The first came in 2015, when he won his only championship.

With a wedding, a baby, and countless birthdays, the royal family certainly has a lot worth celebrating in 2018! I have an uncle I have only seen once by I would never say he is not family because we are not close.

"Don't worry, I was definitely eyeing it out, like who's there and who's there and who's there". It was Truex back out front with Bowyer and Harvick within a second of him.

Indeed, for the first 354 laps the track was as civilized during a Richmond race as it's been for years. But we certainly put ourselves in position all night long to have that opportunity and that chance to go out there and win the race, thanks to our pit crew. "We maxed out those points, which is awesome".

"We can't look at the results tonight and think we're right there, because in reality I think we still have some work to do".

Truex had the top auto during a 95-lap period in the second half of the race, leading in stretches of 46 and 32 laps. Kevin Harvick ran fifth, overcoming a penalty when one of his crewmen threw pit equipment across his No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Fusion during a stop under caution at the end of Stage 1.

Kyle Busch's April reign continued at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday. Jimmie Johnson 18. Darrell Wallace Jr. 19. Even still, his average finish after Richmond is a strong 7.3, second only to Busch.

Busch said he was excited to win his third race, but that it would be hard to go for four-straight with Talladega looming next weekend. I felt like our vehicle was solid throughout the whole weekend. "Obviously we crashed at the beginning (at Bristol)". In his last seven races, he's finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 1st 1st.

The three-race winning streak is the second of his career.
