Five-star wing Joey Baker of Fayetteville announced that he's reclassifying, and will instead head to Duke this fall.

Duke is surprisingly adding another five-star prospect to its top-ranked 2018 recruiting class.

Baker initially committed to Duke last October; his recruitment was led by Jon Scheyer, who landed Baker over offers from basically every other top program - including North Carolina, Florida, NC State and Kansas.

"The coaching staff and I felt it was the best option for this upcoming year", Baker said of his decision to reclassify, according to ESPN's Jeff Borzello. "I feel like it will challenge me in all of those aspects and allow me to grow a lot faster than I would".

At 6-foot-7, 205 pounds, Baker is the type of player who doesn't need shots to make an impact on the floor.

R.J. Barrett, Zion Williamson and Cam Reddish, the top three players in ESPN's 2018 rankings, are all headed to Duke.

Baker averaged 11 points and 4.3 rebounds per game so far this season while running with Team Felton (N.C.) on the Under Armour circuit.

Marvin Bagley reclassified a year ahead of schedule in 2017, playing for Duke in the 2017-18 season and earning ACC player of the year.
