Police Find Body In Search For Missing Frightened Rabbit Singer Scott Hutchison

Bad news to end the week, with Police in Scotland confirming they have recovered a body in the search for missing Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison.

The body was found at Port Edgar, a marina near South Queensferry, at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The band said: "We are anxious about Scott, who has been missing for a little while now".

While a formal identification is yet to take place, his family have been informed.

Scott Hutchison was reported missing Wednesday after leaving a hotel in South Queensferry, near Edinburgh.

Sources said that he had been overseas for treatment but later suffered a relapse, which caused him severe depression. Reports suggest that Roy shot himself with his service revolver at his residence in Mumbai at around 1.40 pm.

Hutchison is a founding member of the band, which completed a British tour last week and is scheduled to begin another later this month, Frightened Rabbit formed in 2003 and has released five albums, its most recent being 2016's "Painting of a Panic Attack" on Atlantic Records. Over the years their popularity has continued to grow and their 2016 album, "Painting Of A Panic Attack", entered the United Kingdom chart at number 14. The band was planning to host a festival in Glasgow on June 1 called The First Incident.

Hutchison had spoken about his struggles with depression, and after his disappearance his family said they anxious he was in a "fragile state".

Other Scottish musicians paid tribute to 36-year-old Hutchison.

The previous night, Hutchison had tweeted from his Owl John Twitter account, "Be so good to everyone you love". I did not stay by that commonplace and it kills me.

Minutes later he added: "I'm away now". My thoughts are with Scott's family, friends and fans.
