Ryan Coogler Says All-Female 'Black Panther' Spinoff 'Would Be Amazing'

Before the film premiered, many were raising money to take their students to see the movie; even Ellen Degeneres joined in and donated money so kids from Harlem's Boys & Girls Club could go. We have these actresses who could easily carry their own movie.

Come on Marvel, make this happen! We had an embarrassment of riches ... "They said they wanted "Panther" to feel like their James Bond, which I was excited about, because I love James Bond movies".

'Is that something you would do?' asked Mitchell.

"A big inspiration for me with this scene, actually insane enough was the film 'Lincoln, '" Coogler says.

"Oh man that would be wonderful if the opportunity came up", Coogler said.

The year's most lovable film Black Panther has nearly too many timely messages to count, which is one of the reasons it became the highest-grossing superhero movie, ever, a month after its release.

But what was surprising was just how humble the 31-year-old remains; during the almost two-hour talk, Ryan prefaced any mention of the plot by telling audiences that this would be spoiler, despite the fact that the film came out three months ago, and basically the entire planet has already seen it.

The superhero movie was more than epic when it hit the silver screen and now the young director has revealed that he is more than open to creating a female spin-off to the blockbuster hit.

'Rachel Morrison was that. "I hope that me and you can leave the business in a better place than where we found it".

'I was like, "I'll be off for two days, squeeze the baby out, come back and put the camera back up!"' he joked.
