After revealing the photographs of the all-new 8 Series Coupe from the final stages of development, BMW has announced that new luxury sports auto will be unveiled to the world on June 15, 2018. BMW will pull the wraps off its new flagship coupe in June, right before the grueling Le Mans endurance race starts. But now know for sure that the new BMW 8 Series will debut on 15 June 2018 - at Le Mans.

The new luxury sports auto will be presented for the first time on 15th June 2018, on the eve of the 24-hour race.

The expectation is that the auto actually revealed with be a BMW 850i xDrive with around 525bhp and 4WD, new digital suspension, and an interior with a proper digital cockpit. Those won't be the only examples of the 8 Series at the race, though.

But unlike the 7 Series, at least so far, there will be an M8 version which is expected to offer the same combination as the new M5, with xDrive 4WD and nearly 600bhp.

Indian media misreported Nawaz's remarks: PM
But after the NSC meeting, Prime Minister Abbasi said he had met Sharif and the former leader told him he was "misquoted". The meeting recalled that was not Pakistan, but India that has delayed the finalisation of the case.

"The [24 Hours of Le Mans] race is a pure demonstration of passion, dynamics and long-distance capability", explained Klaus Fröhlich, board member of the BMW AG, Development.

The announcement comes in the wake of BMW's decision to unveil some technical details of the 2018 M850i xDrive Coupé a few weeks ago. But based on the prototype we drove back in April, the M850i won't feel like a base model at all. This model is said to feature a "new" V8 engine, all-wheel drive with controlled rear-axle differential lock, active steering, 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive suspension, and active roll stabilisation.

The initial offering will be called the M850i xDrive, confirming the auto will use an all-wheel-drive system.
