CISCE students confident of good results, stay calm before big day

The Council of the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared its result at 3 pm.

Candidates willing for the rechecking of their answer papers can apply between May 14 (today) and May 21. The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education ICSE Examination for the year 2018 was conducted from February 26- March 2.

THE Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) on Monday declared results for the Class 12 and Class 10 exams with girls once again bettering boys in overall scores and 64 students getting more than 99 per cent.

Kshipra Motikar ranked at city's top spot with 98%. "Biology is my favourite subject and I want to become a doctor". "Next I am planning to prepare for JEE Mains, I will try my best to get admission in IIT colleges". "More so, we have many students from school who have scored really well despite being very busy in sports activities at state and national levels", said Norina Fernandes, principal of the Lilavatibai Podar high school which four toppers in the national merit list.

"Although a cliché, the seven hours of school can be of huge help to students". Talking to NT, Himanshu says, "I was not aware that I am the topper of my school". He added, "All the efforts that my teachers made finally reaped the fruits and that only helped me in securing first rank in my school". "I used to watch movies to refresh myself", she reveals, adding, "I am happy to have lived up to everybody's expectations". He is among 17 second rank holders at the national level.

Similarly, students of Marie Poussepin's Academy also excelled in the exam as Mahi Harishkumar Yadav is the school topper with 94.14%.

The management, principal and staff of all CISCE schools have congratulated their students on their achievement and wished them all success in their future endeavours.

Ritik Raj from Don Bosco Academy, who scored 98.6 per cent in the ICSE, said: "Every day I used to devote around three hours to study, and that increased to five to six hours one month before the exam. I congratulate all the students and their parents for their marvellous achievement on behalf of all the staff and management".

One of the pupils, Harshi Kabra in Grade 10 scored 99 out of 100 in art making her the UAE topper in the subject.

Husain Saifuddin Zariwala of MSB Educational Institute topped in his school with 93%. "I was expecting a good score".

Gupta has secured 99.25 per cent, with full marks (100) in history, political science and sociology, and 97 in English and 96 in economics. "I congratulate to all the students for their excellent performances on behalf of all the staff and management".
