Redditor Leaks Potential Star Fox Racing Spin-Off From Retro Studios

Although according to some fan theories F-Zero and Star Fox are set in the same universe, and at the very least Star Fox games have shown the characters competing as race drivers in various epilogue sequences.

Star Fox Grand Prix will apparently feature boss fights, a hub world to explore, and an adventure mode.

The last Star Fox game was Star Fox Zero for the Nintendo Wii U, which met with less than stellar reviews.

First discussed and revealed by 4chan, and then later confirmed by EuroGamer, we've found out that an alleged game called Star Fox Grand Prix will allow the famous mercenary team to return in an F-Zero meets Diddy Kong Racing kind of game.

We reached to Nintendo for comment and will update if we receive word on this rumor. An F-Zero game from Retro is something I can get behind.

Many scoff at the possible new take on the franchise. If you're a Retro Studios fan, though, you may have been hoping for something a bit grander.
