The latest update rolling out to WhatsApp users heralds the arrival of a batch of new group messaging features.

Group messaging has become increasingly important to WhatsApp in recent times, as users turn to the app to stay in touch not only with friends and family, but also business colleagues. Some of the new features include better admin control, participant search, group catch up, and more. These features are available for both Android and iPhone users. This will explain the group's "purpose, guidelines, or topics" and will be visible at the top of the screen to new members. The latest update comes after the chat app gained compatibility with Instagram and Facebook videos, a feature announced during parent company Facebook's F8 conference last week.

Other new WhatsApp group admin controls include the ability to control who can change a group's subject and icon - giving them a choice between all participants or only admins.

While these changes to WhatsApp group chat have generally been well-received, there have been some actions from the company in the past few months that have drawn the ire of a significant population in India.

Reported STDs Reach Record High in California
Klausner said that sexual health - and money for education about sexual health - isn't something people like to talk about. Symptoms include abnormal discharge and a burning sensation during urination, though these signs may not appear for weeks.

Group catch up: One of the most demanded features in Groups was a way to find out whether someone called you out at some point and you can straight dive into it. That information can now be found by searching for participants on the group info page.

Ahead of elections in India this week, tens of thousands of WhatsApp groups have been made in an effort to reach voters, but many groups have been spreading misinformation and division between groups - especially Hindus and Muslims.

"When you've been away from a group chat, quickly catch up on messages that mention or reply to you by tapping on a new @ button that appears at the bottom right corner of the chat". In WhatsApp group admins now have the power to remove permissions for other group members.

Another welcome feature is that now WhatsApp has added a feature that would protect you from being repeatedly added to groups you left.
