DICE will reveal Battlefield V next week

In a subsequent tweet on the official Battlefield account, it was confirmed that this is indeed Battlefield V we're talking about, and that the live reveal will begin at 4 PM Eastern on May 23. EA will be livestreaming the reveal event on both Battlefield.com and on YouTube, with the page for the stream already up and running.

EA has officially stated that the next Battlefield game is going to be called Battlefield V.

As to what Battlefield V will be about, your guess is as good as mine. The presence of Mixer is odd. This perhaps hints at the possibility of a Microsoft marketing deal, just like Battlefield 1 before it.

Expect to see a lot more about Battlefield 2018 at E3 2018 next month.

The statement said Tuesday's report was shared with parties of the Chemical Weapons Convention, and forwarded to the UN Security Council.

We'll find out more on May 23rd, and you can bet your last 25 cents that I'll be giving you my opinion on Battlefield V and its future, after the reveal, as well as after attending EA Play in June.

DICE team members will be at the reveal event to talk about the game. The site now confirms that the name of the next game from EA will indeed be Battlefield V while listing some of what'll be included in May 23's livestream. "Every battle is unique, and every mode brings its own challenges - from the way you interact with the environment around you, to compelling single-player stories, to the next level of large-scale multiplayer that spans across multiple maps and modes". The event will be hosted on May 23 by Electronic Arts.

Beyond that, the teases are quite vague.
