Under the 2015 agreement with France, Germany, Britain, Russia, China and the US, Iran agreed to put curbs on its nuclear programme in exchange for the lifting of some sanctions.

"If the nuclear deal is to continue, the interests of the people of Iran must be assured", he added. Also, the economic sanctions by the US will resume after the grace period of between 90 days and 180 days.

In the wake of Trump´s decision on the JCPOA, there was a flurry of articles in key media outlets such as Financial Times, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, and others calling for a thorough re-evaluation of Europe´s relations with the US.

"After all, Iran is ready to talk".

European governments tried for months to persuade Trump to stick with the deal but failed, and now fear it will raise the risk of conflict in the region.

"As far as we are aware, the European troika, China, Iran and Russian Federation have announced their plans to comply with the JCPOA", he said.

"The president of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has been tasked with taking all necessary steps in preparation for Iran to pursue industrial-scale enrichment without any restrictions using the results of the latest research and development of Iran's fearless nuclear scientists", Zarif posted on his official Twitter page. The grouping includes Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

In a presentation Monday that made use of large visual aids, Netanyahu said Israeli intelligence had uncovered a trove of documents from Iran's "nuclear archives".

Now that the USA sanctions are back, PSA says it is hoping for the European Union to adopt a common position on Iran.

"(European) cooperation with Russian Federation, which until recently seemed impossible because of the Skripal (spy poisoning) case, with the expulsion of diplomats and the reduction of contact, is now receiving a fresh boost", - Andrei Baklitsky of the Moscow-based PIR Center nuclear safety NGO says the U.S. decision has brought the other signatories together.

Planemakers Airbus and Boeing, oil companies and auto manufacturers like France's Renault and Peugeot could be among companies hardest hit.

Trump administration officials say the move is simply a recognition of a reality and that they do not in any way intend to prejudge the outcome of final borders or sovereignty in a peace deal.

However, Le Maire acknowledged he has "no illusions" that he'll get what he asked for.

The company said it will "adapt [its] activities as necessary to conform with these changes in USA law".

A fourth OPEC source also said it was too soon to tell if extra oil was needed, citing Iran´s ability to keep much of its exports flowing under a previous round of sanctions. Another could be an independent financing mechanism allowing European companies to avoid USA banks.
