Thomas Markle was referring to Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha Grant. "He has had health issues and he's devastated by what's happened, and he has spoken to Meghan to apologize to her".

"This is not what she wants".

Doria Ragland also made headlines last week for a reported meeting with Oprah Winfrey to discuss ideas for a tell-all interview with the talk show queen, according to the Daily Mail.

"This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding", the palace statement said.

A source added that Meghan's mother will reportedly walk her down the aisle on Saturday.

So who is Thomas Markle?

TMZ reports that Markle Sr. felt the photographs look "stupid and hammy".

She also said she did not harbour any ill feelings about the paparazzi photos it was revealed he staged on Monday.

The Mail on Sunday, a British media outlet, published photos and a surveillance video that it claims show Markle Sr., a former lighting director in Hollywood, staging photos in Rosarito, Mexico, where he now lives. May 14, 2018 Thomas speaks out, confirming he did stage the photos, but now feels bad about it. "The media was unfairly making him look bad so I suggested he do positive photos for his benefit and the benefit of the royal family".

The report stated he grew to regret the photos and decided not to attend the wedding as not to embarrass the royal family or his daughter. While Both of Meghan's parents were expected to be by her side for Saturday's royal wedding at St. George's Chapel, Markle's 73-year-old father, Thomas, who was supposed to walk his daughter down the aisle, will now not be attending.

Ms Markle has two paternal half-siblings, Ms Grant and Thomas Markle Jr.

They all are set to be "special correspondents" on Good Morning Britain.

The hospital told 9NEWS he hasn't returned, however the former Hollywood executive said his heart was "seriously damaged" after the heart attack and is now having extensive tests.

He's still waiting to get permission from his doctors and says they have not yet told him if he can go.

"I don't think the Queen is thinking about what I'm doing", he is reported as saying. That is his daughter and she loves him more than anything in the world.

She said: "It's safe to say I have always been a daddy's girl - he taught me how to fish, to appreciate Busby Berkeley films, write thank-you notes, and spend my weekends in Little Tokyo eating chicken teriyaki with vegetable tempura".

Mr Markle is a retired Emmy-award winning lighting director, who worked on shows such as General Hospital. What more fitting tribute to his mother than for Harry and Meghan to extend a warm welcome to 2,640 members of the public to celebrate their joyous occasion in the grounds of Windsor Castle?
