Official trailer of Queen biopic starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury released

The film, titled Bohemian Rhapsody after the Queen classic, has been highly anticipated since its inception in 2010, but has also made plenty of headlines for the production problems it's suffered. An official trailer, prominently featuring Freddie Mercury as played by Rami Malek, was finally released late last night.

One of music's biggest names is finally getting a spotlight biopic on the big screen come November 2nd. Initially, actor Sacha Baron Cohen was chosen to play the legendary singer.

In an interview with a USA radio station, Baron Cohen said the band wanted the death of Mercury to take place in the middle of the film, and for the second half of the film to follow the afterlife of the band.

The film will of course place a special emphasis on Mercury, and this trailer gives us the best look so far at Malek in the leading role.

Then, in December, after three months of filming, director Bryan Singer was sacked for being absent from the production on multiple occasions and clashing with the cast and crew.
