During the argument, he told the guard, "Don't you know who I am?"

In a video posted to The Blast, T.I. called the arrest "nonsense", and said he was "inconvenienced". He told the site law enforcement in the area were "white cops in a very white area".

Rapper T.I. got arrested in Georgia after he allegedly got into an altercation with a security guard in his own gated community, but he's implying that racism was at the heart of the arrest. He claims he returned to his gated community after a recording session and found the guard asleep on the job. T.I. was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and "simple assault", while his unnamed friend already had a warrant out for their arrest; T.I.is now out on bond.

T.I.'s attorney, Steve Sadow, said in a statement that the rapper was "wrongfully arrested".

The rapper has since been released and took to Instagram live to show fans he's still in good spirits.

Sadow said T.I. identified himself and sought entry, but the guard refused.

Central Intelligence Agency nominee toughens interrogation stance, picks up support
That support means she is all but sure to be confirmed as director of the Central Intelligence Agency when the full senate votes. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell hinted Tuesday that Haspel's confirmation vote could come relatively soon.

Sadow says T.I. contacted his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, who confirmed her husband should be allowed inside the community.

"The guard continued to refuse entry without justification", the lawyer's statement said.

Despite the headline-generating bust, Tip didn't spend much time in police custody or have to stand before a judge. He then called a friend, but that didn't help the situation, as both men began to argue with the security guard, which led to police officers being called.

He also spent about 10 months in federal prison on a probation violation in 2010 after he was arrested on drug charges in Los Angeles.

T.I. - whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr. - is no stranger to crime, but he changed his life around and has mostly stayed away from legal trouble after serving several stints in federal prison.
