United Airlines will increase nonstop service between Newark and Sarasota

Frontier Airlines will begin offering nonstop flights between Omaha's Eppley Airfield and San Antonio International Airport this summer.

The flight will leave San Antonio at 7 a.m. and land at 9:15 a.m.

"We are pleased to return to Fargo and introduce a new and more affordable way to travel to and from the area", said Richard Oliver, spokesperson for Frontier Airlines.

The new flights make Frontier Airlines the largest carrier at the airport in terms of destinations served.

The new San Antonio flights begin August 12, and operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Earlier this week, United Airlines announced it is increasing nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport near New York City to several destinations, including San Antonio.

United plans to increase flights to the airport, under the call letters SRQ, to two flights daily. This empowers more people than ever before to fly.
