Avengers 4 is set for release on May 3, 2019. But if Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo were anxious that the mere mention of the Avengers 4 title would spoil the plot of the highly anticipated Marvel sequel, wouldn't a plot synopsis spoil it too?

Just weeks after the release of Avengers: Infinity War, there was a suggestion that the first "official" synopsis for the as-yet-untitled follow-up had been revealed by Licensing Magazine (even if it will prove to be no more than a place-holder).

This is what we are taught: "In culmination of 22 films connected, the fourth film the Avengers will lead the audience on an adventure of epic and decisive". It is clear that some of the dead d'Avengers: Infinity War will be back in Avengers 4, but this does not mean that others will not be killed trying to save them.

We'll keep you posted as we hear more... The interesting thing about that synopsis for anyone looking for hints about how the sequel will play out is the suggestion that what Thanos has done has only created a "fragile reality" and that it could be overturned by making "sacrifices".

That movie sat atop of the box office until last weekend when it was dethroned by another Marvel movie, "Deadpool 2", which has become 2018's third-highest box office opening, behind it's Marvel partners "Black Panther" and "Avengers: Infinity War". The dark description further teases a "turning point" will get for the heroes as they start getting the fragility of their existence.

For those skeptical about the source of the synopsis, it appears to be legitimate.

While they were never mentioned in "Infinity War", the Russo brothers could use one of them to fuel Thanos's motivation for a new goal after he wiped out half the universe. "And I think that theatrical filmmaking since the advent of social media is driven by social media and the most successful films are the ones that are driving conversations".
