Australia holds hope MH370 will be found as last search ends

PM Mohamad said that although it is impossible to search for something that can not be found, however, if new evidence emerges then the search operations for the missing flight may resume.

A privately funded search for the missing Malaysia Airline flight MH370 has drawn to a close. There were 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board the Boeing 777 aircraft.

"When they had discovered that the aircraft had flown into the Southern Indian Ocean it had to be a pilot hijack because only a pilot can reprogram the sophisticated flight management system computers", said Bailey. On May 24, Malaysian authorities, in an email to Prahlad Shirsath, husband of Kranti Shirsath, said that the operation that started in January ended without any finding.

The team, led by Malaysia, is made up of seven global air accident and incident investigation organisations from Australia, China, France, Indonesia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the US.

An agreement with the Malaysian Government meant it stood to be paid up to $US70 million if it had found the wreckage but now it will get nothing. However, the new Malaysian government of Mahathir Mohamad, which came to power after a shock election win this month, announced last week the search was set to end.

"People might think: "Why are these people still harping on about this, it's been four years".

Malaysia's Transport Minister Anthony Loke said a full report into MH370's disappearance would be published in the near future, but did not give a date.

The company has been working on self-driving technology for almost a decade, and is focusing on four potential lines of business. The deal might include licensing Waymo tech and services for incorporation in FCA vehicles.

The flight disappeared on its way to Beijing four years ago on 8 March 2014. It's believed someone may have deliberately switched off the plane's transponder before diverting it over the Indian Ocean. Its original route would have taken it north-eastward. "I consider which means that there's extra goal to reinvestigate, reevaluate, and restart if obligatory", mentioned Nathan, who misplaced her mom on Flight 370.

Other passengers were from Iran, the US, Canada, Indonesia, Australia, India, France, New Zealand, Ukraine, Russia, Taiwan and the Netherlands.

Extensive searches conducted in the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean have not been conclusive.

Australian investigators who led the joint search for the jetliner dismissed that theory and have defended their belief that the plane's disappearance was due to an accident. The governments of China and Australia have also suspended their search efforts.

Some items of debris have been found along the east African coast.

"Australian authorities said past year that six weeks before the disappearance, MH370's captain had flown a route on a home simulator that was" initially similar" to the course that was actually taken.

In a separate press conference, Loke said the search by Ocean Infinity ended on Tuesday.
