France midfielder Corentin Tolisso has hit out at the fans who jeered Manchester United's Paul Pogba during the 3-1 friendly win over Italy in Nice.

Pogba was part of a France team that beat Italy 3-1 in an global friendly on Friday night as part of their preparations for the World Cup, which starts in Russian Federation later this month.

"The whistles are part of football, you have to stay tough mentally", stated Atletico Madrid striker Griezmann.

"We're France, we are all France players, we're all fighting for our country and for the fans there and we produced a very good performance". He plays his game, you're used to him scoring. We don't expect that from him, only that he rotates the ball and plays for the team, ' Griezmann said. Everyone represents the French team, ' Tolisso said.

Dembele then rattled the crossbar down the other end as both teams came close in the early stages of the second half.

France go into this summer's World Cup as one of the favourites, with a squad full of young, exciting talent.

It's hard to know exactly how to view the career of Paul Pogba so far. "Fans need to realize this".

"There are lots of things that pleased me beyond the three goals", France coach Didier Deschamps told French television station TF1. We're all on the same boat, and we have to all stick together'.

Incredibly, it is the first major honour the France worldwide has won in his career.

A decision will be made before France kick off their World Cup bid, however, with Les Bleus opening the tournament with a Group C meeting with Australia on June 16.
