And now during the WWDC 2018 keynote, Apple has also introduced a similar feature with iOS 12.

"With iOS 12, we're enabling new experiences that weren't possible before", said Federighi.

iOS 12 adds new features to Do Not Disturb, making this time management tool better by helping to not get distracted during times of studying as well as during a class, meeting or dinner. Not to be confused with the heavily rumoured iPhone SE 2, this device will feature a 6.1-inch LCD display (compared to the iPhone X's 5.8-inch), complete with a screen notch. The software-focused conference didn't include any hardware-related announcements, but the company did unveil a bevy of upgrades that will roll out in the coming months. And perhaps most importantly, grouped notifications will allow you to swipe and clear a whole group of notifications all at once. Finally. Yes. This is not a drill. And when you use "do not disturb" during bed time, your iPhone shows a mostly black screen until you tap the screen in the morning to dive in.

The company is also taking steps to help users limit the amount of time they spend with particular apps and to fight back against the tactics Facebook and other companies use to repeatedly lure them back into their services. Family Sharing is supported too, so parents can control how their children use their phone. You can make your own personal emoji, customize the look, the skin, the hairstyle, your outfit, and so much more. The FaceTime camera experience also includes filters, stickers, Animoji and Memoji as well, so everyone can take advantage of it. But I wouldn't recommend doing that in public. Taken together, these new features are an effort by Apple to address concerns about smartphone overuse. Kind of like Snapchat.

FaceTime has also been integrated into Messages, so a group message can be turned into a group FaceTime call.

Animoji Animoji is getting a new "tongue detection" ability. The app replicates the functionality of many other measuring apps already found in the iOS App Store. All powered by on-device machine learning.

"We're using advanced algorithms to make AR even more engaging and on-device intelligence to deliver faster ways to get things done using Siri".

Snapdragon 850: Everything you need to know about the Windows 10 chip
While it could power your next laptop (maybe), you nearly certainly won't be seeing the Snapdragon 850 in your next phone. Meanwhile we might soon see virtual surround sound as its now supported by Qualcomm's Aqstic & aptX audio.

Parents have extra controls and can give their kids time allowances. There'll be improved face tracking, more realistic experiencing, and persistent experiences among others.

Apple also rolled out new tools for augmented reality, saying users would be able to share worlds in games, for instance.

USDZ works on all Apple devices, and Adobe will provide native USDZ support in its Creative Cloud suite. The firm could, for example, use WWDC to announce the imminent release of new computers featuring the latest generation of Intel Core i7 (Coffee Lake) processors. It now has a new Browse section and on the iPad, there's a new sidebar to make browsing around in the app easier. You can now search for your favourite channels, news sources, and more.

A redesigned Voice Memos application for the iPhone that's also coming to the iPad for the first time.
