One Dead In Bray Gun Attack

A 30-year-old man has died during the incident.


A man has been shot dead and two others seriously injured at a boxing club in Bray, Co.

Three men have been shot at a boxing club in Ireland.

Authorities believe the gunman ran in through the door and fatally shot the man as he exercised on a training machine, The Mirror reports.

Taylor is the founder of the gym where he once trained Katie before they ended their boxing association over two years ago.

In a statement, a Garda spokesman said: "Gardai can confirm that one man aged 30 years has died following a shooting incident in Bray, Co".

'The body of the deceased remains at the scene pending the arrival of the State Pathologist and a technical examination of the area is being carried out by Garda Crime Scene Examiners.

Gardaí say the gunman left the scene in a white or silver van, possibly a Ford make, had British reg plates.

The gym is owned by Bray municipal council and operated by Mr Taylor.

It was set up by her father Pete and is also home to other Olympic boxers, including former Irish champion Adam Nolan.

They are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them.

The club was started by unified lightweight champion Katie Taylor's father, Pete Taylor.

Local Sinn Fein politician John Brady tweeted: "Absolutely shocking news coming from Bray Boxing club this morning".

Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan has described news of the shooting as shocking.
