$106 Student Rush Tickets to the Tony Awards Will Be Available

As previously announced, Bruce Springsteen will make a rare television appearance, performing live on the show, and will receive a Special Tony Award for his ongoing engagement, Springsteen on Broadway.

"Angels in America", playwright Tony Kushner's 1993 epic about the AIDS epidemic, won the award for best revival of a play for the 2018 iteration starring Andrew Garfield.

Who's Hosting?: Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles have been named this year's emcees. Though "Mean Girls" was nominated for 12 awards, the stage adapation of the Tina Fey film did not win any.

Stachel, 26, is making his Broadway debut in "The Band's Visit", which stars Tony Shalhoub ("Monk") and the rising star Katrina Lenk. She accepted in tears, recounting that when she moved to NY, she was told to change her last name to Matthews or she wouldn't work. Both the network and award organizers will anxiously await the ratings for the broadcast. Spacey's ceremony last year drew 6 million viewers, which represented a drop of approximately 31 percent in total viewers from the previous year.
