The latest live images of the Pixel 3 XL prototype suggest that the device may come with a dual camera setup on the front, housed inside a notch placed on the top of the display. This doesn't confirm these features are coming to the Google Pixel 3 phones, but it certainly makes their inclusion more likely. Also, while dual cameras have now become common, and some upcoming smartphones expected to come with triple camera setup, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will mostly retain the single camera setup.

The evidence comes from senior XDA Developers member meraz9000 who posted the first ever photos of the Pixel 3 XL prototype.

The most popular add-on transforms Active Edge into the Edge Sense feature found on the HTC U11, introducing the option to remap the frame, letting users launch different applications by applying different levels of pressure to the frame. Those who hate bezels may love the larger display. The other two are listed with codenames - crosshatch and blueline which are reportedly for Pixel 3 XL and Pixel 3 respectively.

Also considering the fact, previous year Apple released iPhone X smartphones which introduced the display notch and supported wireless charging has imposed its rivals the need to adopt these features for their survival in the competitive market.

This design directly complements a report by Bloomberg which describes the same details for Google's Pixel XL smartphone. It will most probably be the Pixel 3 XL, while the Pixel 3 is expected to boast of the Pixel 2-like design from both front and back. There's a single rear camera along with a LED flash on Pixel 3 XL.

What feature are you hoping to see on the Google Pixel 3? Even before the second-gen Pixel 2 phone's official launch, it was sighted on FCC with Android 8.0.1 Oreo and Active Edge. That's good news for anyone that won't want to upgrade from their Pixel 2, even if it's a bit boring.
