FromSoftware Reveals Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Unless From Software pops up again during Sony's E3 2018 press conference to explain how Bloodborne 2 is on its way, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is likely the only game we'll be getting from the Souls developers during E3 2018. It seems as though locomotion will be a major focus for Sekiro, and that's how it innovates on the Dark Souls formula.

Unfortunately, the trailer Activision and FromSoftware showed during the Xbox event didn't provide a ton of detail about gameplay, other than there's loads of sword fighting, grappling hook acrobatics and some huge bosses. Shadows Die Twice takes players to the Sengoku period and puts them in the role of a hard-hearted shinobi on a mission to rescue his master. Check out the announcement trailer below. "With Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice many FromSoftware team members, including myself, are thrilled to be exploring themes of Sengoku Japan and ninja for the first time". Miyazaki was conspicuous by his absence on Dark Souls II, widely regarded as the weakest of FromSoftware's recent releases, in comparison to the brilliance of Dark Souls I, III, and Bloodborne. It will be a third-person, action-adventure game with RPG elements. Supported platforms have yet to be announced.
