Wolfenstein and Doom get sequels at E3

Bethesda has developed a real talent for bringing back old franchises that were otherwise thought dead and buried.

Doom is getting a sequel, and wow are we ever excited.

Doom Eternal is actual the direct sequel to the 2016 reboot of the classic first-person shooter.

During Bethesda's annual E3 press conference the company showed a teaser trailer that featured numerous iconic enemies from the series, including the minotaur-like cyber-demon and the giant spider-brains with a mounted laser.

It shows a the titular Doom Slayer loading up his double-barrel shotgun and ready to wreak havoc onto demons in what appears to be a "Hell on Earth" scenario.

Doom 2 anyone? It looks like we're going to see Hell on Earth as the next Doom game in the rebooted series. The devs promised a more powerful Doomslayer and twice as many demon types for players to destroy. With just a short trailer on display during the Bethesda Softworks E3 presentation, fans will have to wait until Quakecon this August for more information.
