Gladys opened up about Anthony's legacy in a phone interview with Today on Monday, June 11, and revealed that she last spoke to the iconic chef on Mother's Day on May 13.

"She was incredible. So strong and courageous", the proud mom captioned the photo.

"Sitting across from me is the remarkable human and fearless survivor, Asia Argento, who has been through more than most could stand, and yet stand she does", McGowan wrote in the letter addressed to her "Fellow Humans". "I hope you are having a good trip, wherever you are", Ottavia wrote in the caption. "The suicide of her beloved lover and ally, Anthony Bourdain", continued McGowan.

"We make fun of each other a lot", Busia shared. But in the horribly sad days since his passing, those close to him thought his last few years were good ones with Argento in his life. He said that now "in retrospect, I don't know that I would do (reckless things) today - now that I'm a dad or reasonably happy". "I see all of us who have carried on", she continues, before asking people to blame stigmas around mental illness - not Argento - for his death. Bourdain was married to high school sweetheart Nancy Putkoski from 1985 until separating in the mid-2000s and then divorcing.

Prior to Busia, Bourdain was married to Nancy Putkoski for two decades.

On Friday Bourdain's girlfriend at the time of his death, Asia Argento, took to social media to express her grief.

Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Thibaut Courtois, however, and are following his situation in west London closely.

Bourdain, a famed cook, writer and host of the CNN series "Parts Unknown", was found dead in a hotel room in France on Friday.

"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain", a spokesperson for the network said in a statement. "His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller". Anthony's depression didn't let him, he put down his armor, and that was very much his choice.

Fans of the Bourdain family took to the comments section to voice their support, with one supporter writing: "Thoughts and prayers for your daughter and you as you navigate the water ahead".

McGowan shares that when Bourdain and Argento met, it was "instant chemistry" but that, sadly, the two both battled depression.

Argento tweeted on Friday, "Anthony gave all of himself in everything he did".

Meanwhile, tears streamed down the face of Argento's fellow prominent member of the #MeToo movement, Rose McGowan, as she opened up about the shocking suicide. They laughed, they loved and he was her rock during the hardships of this previous year.
