Unbeaten Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua appear poised for title unification bout

If the Wilder fight is next up for Joshua, then the original plan of September 15 is now highly unlikely due to the lack of time involved, as well as the USA television clash with Canelo Alvarez's return from a drug's ban.

Hearn told Sportsmail: 'We made him (Wilder) an offer four weeks and now they have come back via social media accepting terms and wanting to proceed to contract. "Finkel said that the offer is a two-fight deal with terms also agreed to for a rematch that would take place in the United States".

The above was tweeted out Monday by WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, who was making it clear that he he accepted Anthony Joshua's terms to fight in England for his title, along with Joshua's WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles. A Joshua-Wilder fight on the service would raise its now nonexistent American profile, but it would also limit the USA revenue for the bout.

A fight with Wilder has always been Plan A for Joshua, but after lengthy talks with the WBC champion struggled to produce a definitive scenario, a deal had largely been concluded with Povetkin for September in London.

According to Pugmire, Wilder's and Joshua's respective teams were quibbling over the location of the fight, with Wilder's camp wanting it in the US and Joshua's side preferring the UK.

"If they change their mind, the $50 million [against 50 percent of the event] we offered them [to come to the United States] is still on the table".

Frank Warren sounded pretty confident that Alexander Povetkin was next up for Anthony Joshua but it looks like we could be getting the Deontay Wilder unification fight after all.

The completion of the new AIT offices - built over nine years at a cost of $250 million - comes amid closer US-Taiwan ties. AIT's Taipei office has almost 500 American and local employees, while its Kaohsiung branch has more than 30 staff.

The fight, pairing unbeaten sluggers at the peak of their physical primes, would be one of the biggest the sport could make and the most important the division has seen in 15 years.

"We have agreed to the terms that Eddie has put out to us for a fight in the U.K. Deontay has accepted his terms to fight in the U.K. Deontay sent an email to Joshua (Sunday) night and I sent one today to Barry Hearn and Eddie telling them that we officially accept the offer to fight under the terms they gave us and to send us the contract", Finkel said. We've got to speak to them about what date suits them.

He said on Instagram: 'Dear Anthony Joshua fans, since your acting dumb, delusional or just plain Stupid here you go, breaking news.

'The $50M offer for Joshua to fight me next in the U.S.is still available to him if he wants it. It's up to them to choose United States or UK.

Joshua, 28, won his first world title in 2016 and has made five defenses, taking his record to 21-0 with 20 knockouts.

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook posted odds on the potential fight back in early April.
