By Tuesday evening, it had stopped on a ledge at least 23 storeys high.

This item has been corrected to show the building is called UBS Plaza, not UBS Tower.

A Minnesota radio station branded the raccoon with the hashtag #mprraccoon.

According to the Associated Press, the raccoon safely reached the roof of the building Wednesday morning. Perhaps the little rascal knows exactly what it's doing after all.

The building's windows don't open, so assistance won't be easy.

A raccoon stretched out on a windowsill high above downtown St. Paul, Minn.

"I made a big mistake", said an afternoon post on a Twitter account created for the raccoon before it climbed down a few floors later in the day.

Tesla said it plans to cut 9% of its workforce as part of a restructuring meant to reduce costs and boost profitability. Instead, he said that the cuts were made to job functions that, "are hard to justify today".

The raccoon has gained a social media following around the country, as people hope the little creature makes it to the top of the building.

"Any other measures we think would endanger him".

Laurie Brickley, spokeswoman for the city's Department of Safety & Inspections, which oversees animal control, said, "We've been in touch with wildlife organizations". There were some live traps with cat food at the top, but no word yet if the critter made its way into one of them.

Instead, it hopped over to the UBS building next door, and began climbing.

Tim Nelson of Minnesota Public Radio, who has been covering the high-altitude drama, tweeted the news just after 3:45 a.m.
