Salah returns to Egypt training

Salah sustained the injury in clash with Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final in May 26th, casting a doubt over his hopes of leading the Egyptian challenge at Russian Federation 2018.

Salah was photographed locking hands with Kadyrov at Egypt's Grozny, Russia, training camp on Sunday ahead of their World Cup opener against Uruguay later this week, for which he is a fitness doubt with a shoulder injury. The workout of the 25-year-old striker included exercises with fit ball and rubber bands, as well as other activities.

Team director Ihab Lahita said: "There's a good degree of progress but no definitive decision on whether he takes part, as we are following his case day by day".

Defender Jose Maria Gimenez said the Egypt game was the "most important" as it would set the tone for the rest of the tournament.
