On top of that, enemies appear to be more coordinated now, and Naughty Dog's overhauled engine looks wonderful.

But nothing could have quite prepared audiences for what we got for The Last Of Us Part 2 at E3, with not only a visually stunning story trailer, but our first glimpse at new and improved gameplay.

The trailer opens with Ellie at a party, as she watches a young woman, Dina, dancing.

We've been teased with a breath taking reveal trailer of The Last Of Us Part 2, with Ellie killing it on a guitar, then teased again with the more elusive, mystery-surrounding trailer featuring *ahem* Ellie's mum. Sony kicked off its E3 2018 presentation with a banjo performance by Gustavo Santoye, who performed one of The Last of Us' themes. She walks over to Ellie, and it's not long before the girl - who we learn is named Dina - joins Ellie on the sidelines for a few moments before pulling her onto the dance floor for the next song. We know it'll be available for the PlayStation 4 and be a single-player title, but finer details like price and launch date aren't provided.
