The Nex A features the Snapdragon 710 - and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Hate the notch? You'll love the new Vivo Nex.

Vivo Nex and Nex S feature a almost bezel-less design that is not as dramatic as it was on the Vivo Apex.

Vivo has publicized several concept phones before, but the Nex S turns those advancements into a real product consumers will actually be able to buy.

When it comes to specs, the Nex is no Z5. The fingerprint scanner is located in the centre of the display and shows a small logo whenever someone wants to access their phone. The phone sports a bezel-less display with no notch and a screen to body ratio of 91.24%.

A previous leak had suggested the NEX S powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset will cost 3,798 yuan (Rs.40,000 approx.) in China, while the NEX top-end variant powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset is expected to cost 4,498 yuan (Rs.45,500 approx.).

Unfortunately, the camera department is where the phone drags behind its competitors, at least on paper. Some of the Nex S's most noteworthy features - like its in-display fingerprint sensor - will surely make their way to more widely-available phones in due time. Dubbed Ultra FullView, the display is a ginormous 6.59-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED unit, and while this might sound like a a lot, the device is similar in overall size to a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 - the Vivo NEX has dimension of 162×77×7.98mm and a total weight of 199gr. We hope it will be launching in other places, but right now it's only confirmed as a device for those in China where the price has yet to be revealed.

On the back, the Vivo Nex features a dual camera setup comprising a 12MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 5MP f/2.4 shooter that helps provide depth information.

Vivo mounted the 8MP front-facing camera on a "micro-stepper motor" that lets it elevate very precisely. Instead of an earpiece, the Chinese firm has used Screen SoundCasting Technology on Vivo NEX for sound output. The NEX and NEX Ultimate phones can be availed in colors like Diamond Black and Ruby Red. Vivo continues to pursue the ultimate AI photography technologies with AI Scene Recognition, AI HDR, AI Filters and AI Photo Composition. There is a dedicated button beside the camera that triggers the voice assistant on the long-press action. It is preloaded with Android 8.1 Oreo that is overlaid with custom user interfaced called Energy UI that is driven by AI. Vivo says that the transition is "instant", and that probably means that it takes the "Elevating Camera" less than a second to get into position for shooting.

It's not clear whether the Vivo Nex will be released internationally.
