On the evening of Monday, June 18, rapper Jimmy Wopo was shot and killed in a double drive-by shooting in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, according to Pittsburgh's Action News.

Two armed men approached the 20-year-old as he sat in the driver's seat of his electric sports vehicle, fired multiple shots and fled in a dark-coloured SUV.

His death was confirmed by his manager Taylor Maglin, who took to Facebook to pay tribute to his "brother". The other victim is reportedly in the hospital in stable condition.

According to WTAE news, Wopo, whose real name was Travon Smart, was shot at around 4.22 pm local time and he died at around 5.56 pm.
