According to Collider, sources familiar with the matter are stating Disney LucasFilm has chose to place any plans for new spinoffs on hold and instead focus their attention on Star Wars: Episode IX and the next trilogy that follows. But you can certainly see why the relative lack of box office thrust from Solo would be cause for chins to be scratched and plans to be quietly shoved into carbonite.

It's said the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie that has been in development has been placed on the backburner as those who were working on the film are no longer involved.

Prince Louis' Christening Date Announced By Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge
The third son of Prince William and his wife Kate, Duchess of Cambridge was born April 23 and is fifth in line to the throne. The Chapel Royal where Prince Louis will be christened is said to be a special place for parents, Kate and William.

Logan director James Mangold was also reportedly set to helm a Boba Fett movie, but this report doesn't indicate what will happen to the solo movie focused on the bounty hunter, though it seems safe to say it won't go into production. The film is the lowest grossing of the recent Lucasfilm features by a significant margin, trailing behind Rogue One by over $700 million, behind The Last Jedi by almost $1 billion, and sitting in a different galaxy from The Force Awakens which grossed $1.7 billion more.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 20, 2019. And then of course Solo saw directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller fired during production, with Ron Howard coming in to replace them and reshoot a number of scenes. Weiss. These projects continue to be in development and are not part of the paused spinoffs we're hearing about. That could be because future Star Wars spinoff films are now on hold, at least, according to a report Wednesday from Collider. "But Lucasfilm's main focus at the moment is planning the next trilogy after the Abrams-directed [Episode IX], which is expected to conclude the story of Rey (Daisy Ridley) that began with The Force Awakens".
