Arnold told NBC News early Friday that Cohen - who is under investigation by federal prosecutors - talked to him for the show.

'This dude has all the tapes - this dude has everything, ' Arnold said about Michael Cohen, with whom he had met with in NY on a quest to uncover compromising tapes that allegedly capture Donald Trump's racist comments.

Wallace tried to get more information out of him, but Arnold would not directly say much.

He added: "I say to Michael, 'Guess what? We're taking Trump down together, and he's so exhausted he's like, 'OK, ' and his wife is like, 'OK, f*** Trump, '" Arnold said, laughing.

Arnold was in the city doing interviews for Vice's show that is "dedicated to uncovering what's really going on with the rumored recordings", including the one in which Trump allegedly orders Russian prostitutes to urinate on a hotel bed. The caption of the photo reads, "I love NY".

During the 2016 presidential election, several recordings of Trump were brought to light, including the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape that featured him boasting about groping women. "And I think that perhaps this is part of the messages... this is a flare gun shot in the air for Michael Cohen to, you know, a message to Mr. Trump or others that there may be things coming down the pike". "We've been on the other side of the table and now we're on the same side", Arnold told NBC News.

Tom Arnold is on the hunt.

"The host will draw on his high-profile network of celebrity friends, entertainment executives, and crew members he's met over more than 35 years in showbiz to dig for evidence on Trump's most incriminating moments - and, being a comedian and all, he'll have a little fun along the way", Vice said in a statement announcing the show. Cohen replied, "Thank you Tom for correcting the record". A Vice producer said Cohen had not done an on-camera interview and they are "still working it'". Cohen then retweeted it without comment.

Last week, Trump said he hadn't spoken with Cohen "in a long time" and said, "He's not my lawyer anymore, but I always liked Michael". More recently, as the Inquisitr reported, Cohen was implicated in a crime and is now a target of prosecutors looking into whether he had broken campaign finance laws, having allegedly made a $150,000 payment to ex-Playboy model Karen McDougal.

Daniels' former attorney, Keith Davidson, has sued Cohen and alleges he illegally recorded their telephone calls when Davidson represented Daniels.
