Neymar took to social media in the aftermath of the Group E victory to explain why he put his head in his hands and cried after scoring Brazil's second goal in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said in a brief statement Danilo had complained of pain around his hip during Thursday's training session. "Nothing in my life was ever easy and that's not going to change now".

The world's most expensive player was given a rough ride by the Swiss in a 1-1 draw on Sunday, suffering 10 fouls during the match, the most for any player in a single World Cup game for 20 years. "Pass the ball, '" he said, confirming that he had pulled a muscle celebrating Philippe Coutinho's opening goal. However, he then turned to VAR to make sure he had not been fooled by the Paris Saint-Germain man.

He left the last tournament, at home in Brazil four years ago, with a back injury.

Neymar burst into tears at the end of the game, drawing some concern about the emotional state of the team as they set off on another high-pressure pursuit of a sixth World Cup triumph.

Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul dies aged 54
Paul formed Pantera with his brother Dimebag Darrell , real name Darrell Lance Abbott , who was also the group's guitarist. And basically the singer wanted to move on, do some other things and really lost his focus, ' Vinnie said at the time.

Neymar's Instagram post reads: "Not everyone knows what I went through to get here".

"Today, I was saddened by his behaviour", said Silva.

Brazil's coach Tite also commented on his players tears, suggesting they could be down to the huge pressure of leading the five-times world champions. Neymar apparently was angry with Silva for giving the ball back to Costa Rica in the 83rd minute because Neymar considered the Costa Ricans to be time wasting.

I am serene about this and I was sad about his behaviour towards me.
