This makes it possible for users to record lip sync clips and mini music videos - a feature that's been extremely popular on Musically.

The feature, which is rolling out to iOS and Android today, lets users add music to Stories via a new music sticker, which will appear next to GIF, location, and other sticker add-ons.

If you needed more proof of social media turning our lives into reality shows, Instagram announced that you will now be able to soundtrack your Instagram Stories. Per Instagram's post, there are thousands of songs to select from with more added every day. With these, you can either add music before or after you capture a Story. "When you've selected your song, you can fast-forward and rewind through the track to choose the exact part that fits your story".

For those unfamiliar, Instagram stories are photo and video posts that disappear after 24 hours. A sticker will tell them the song title and artist name. It will then play in the background as you record the video.

The military launched a major counteroffensive that led almost 700,000 Rohingyas to escape to neighboring Bangladesh. Myanmar has agreed to take back refugees who want to return if they can prove prior residency in the region.

Instagram further explained: "When your friends are watching your story, they'll hear the song playing as they're viewing your photo or video".

For the time being, music will be available only in select countries, but Instagram plans on making the feature global in the future. Additionally, the feature is now only in select countries.

The new 400-million figure dwarfs Snapchat, which said in its Q1 2018 earnings report it has 191 million daily active users overall.
