The 29-year-old Briton will fight again on 18 August and says he is "preparing" to face Joshua and Wilder.

Though all parties involved were optimistic that a Heavyweight unification match between undefeated champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could be finalized, Joshua has left Wilder at the altar according to reports and will defend his title against Alexander Povetkin in the fall.

With the lineal champion Tyson Fury out of the picture, for now, this is easily the most interesting fight for the division. "Ten seconds, done. Signed, stamped, delivered, photograph taken, uploaded to Instagram". Wilder agreed to the money and to fighting Joshua in the UK.

"I can't wait until the day he gets in the ring with Deontay Wilder and nor can he". Povetkin has only lost to Wladimir Klitschko and did manage to go the distance with him but was knocked down four times along the way.

Best known for staging Wales rugby union internationals, the Principality - which has a capacity of over 73,000 - could also play host to a Joshua-Povetkin clash.

What Paul George opting out means for LeBron, Kawhi
George is eligible to sign a five-year contract extension worth $176 million with the Thunder this summer. Trading for Kawhi could be postponed as they have seven more months to pull that off.

The Joshua vs. Wilder bout will more than likely happen next year, but it's not a given if Team Wilder maintains the mindset that the fighters are on equal footing when it comes to negotiations.

"All they had to do is say they were scared to fight". Both guys can fight twice before then, and set up a showdown at Wembley that will be bigger in 2019 than it will right now.

Wilder is yet to respond to Fury's challenge and we could be in for a war of words on social media in the next few days.

Earlier it was reported that the battle between Joshua and Povetkin will take place on September 22. Luckily for boxing fans, Joshua vs. Povetkin is a decent fight.
