The Honor 10 GT has just launched in China with 8GB RAM and the GPU Turbo software pre-installed, a phone which we may soon see in Europe under the Honor 10 Play moniker if the rumors are correct. The Honor 10 GT is basically an upgraded version of Honor 10 that was launched in China in April and then it was launched in other markets including India in May. Huawei claims that the single-thread performance of a device powered by GPU Turbo might even outdo a multi-threaded output of a flagship. The Kirin 970 chip, used on the Huawei P20 Pro, is already pretty darn powerful, sitting between the Snapdragon 835 and 845 in terms of benchmarking results, and delivering strong performance.

The GPU Turbo update is free and makes your phone better at playing games, so is there a downside?

United Kingdom police declare ‘major incident’ over ‘unknown substance’
After being found unconscious in the street, the two spent weeks in critical condition at the hospital. Officials said the officers were keeping "an open mind" to see where the evidence leads them.

The Honor 10 GT is scheduled to launch in China on July 24 and now there is no information about the pricing and availability of the device.

The 6 GB variant now goes for CNY2,599 (less than $390/€340), so the more powerful one should be slightly higher than that. At the front, it boasts a 24-megapixel camera. There's 128GB of internal storage with 24-megapixel + 16-megapixel dual camera unit, aligned horizontally at the back. It is running on EMUI 8.1 flavored Android 8.1 Oreo OS. As per reports, the GPU Turbo feature will be rolled out for the Honor 10 starting from July 15 and the AIS feature will be available by July end or early August. The company is focussing on the lower-to-mid range of devices (so far we've got the really solid Honor 7X and the 9 Lite) for South Africa at the moment - which is why we're not (officially) getting the lower-spec Honor 10 in this country either. The Honor 10 will also receive the two new features. It sports a 5.8-inch 2,280 x 1,080 LCD display, and down below is a fingerprint scanner in the form of a front-facing button. Inside it, there is in-house Kirin 970 processor with Mali-G72 MP12 GPU and whopping 8GB of RAM.
