The Atlanta Hawks and Utah Jazz guards got feisty in the third quarter of the Jazz's 92-87 win Thursday at Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. Utah Jazz guard Grayson Allen, who was suspended during his junior season at Duke for repeatedly tripping opponents, got into his first National Basketball Association altercation during a game against the Atlanta Hawks at the Utah Jazz Summer League on Thursday. He eventually caught a pass beyond the 3-point line. On the way back up, hands aloft as if he were trying to end the play, Allen appeared to give Young a slight shoulder check. The former Duke Blue Devils star ducked down and put his head into Young's chest. Honestly, it was nice too see a young Hawks player look ready to throw down to protect his teammate - it shows he cares. Allen and Young were each assessed a technical foul, and Allen also was charged with a personal foul.

Beryl forms in the Atlantic Ocean
IN THE TROPICS: Hurricane Beryl will churn through the open waters of the tropical Atlantic Ocean into this weekend. On Monday, Colorado State University cut its forecast for named storms to 11, from the 14 it predicted in May.

Wade Baldwin was ejected from a summer league game on Saturday after an incident involving Grayson Allen. It's going to happen. It seemed that Allen, intentionally or not, got his arms entangled with Young, who was attempting a shot. "I'm a physical player".
