Daniel Cormier sensationally knocked out Stipe Miocic in the first round to capture the undisputed UFC heavyweight championship of the world and potentially booked himself into a heavyweight title superfight with Brock Lesnar in the process. He was the first heavyweight fighter to win three title defense matches; now, he will go for number four. "DC, I'm coming for you motherfucker".

"In our studying, we knew Stipe would back out of the clinch a little bit with his hands low, so I worked on that", Cormier said.

White couldn't when the fight against Cormier would take place but did confirm it would be happening. Cormier becomes just the second man in UFC history to hold two belts simultaneously.

Jones is yet to discover his fate from the US Anti-Doping Agency for testing positive for steroid Turanibol, but is now without a licence to fight after the California State Athletic Commission revoked it.

"I was a heavyweight for a long time, and I left the division", Cormier said.

Cormier: Hey Brock, get out of my Octagon. White also confirmed that Lesnar has already re-entered the USADA testing program.

Cormier didn't let the golden opportunity to create history go past him as he quickly dropped more bombs on the fallen Miocic before referee Marc Goddard called a halt to proceedings.

After five years away from UFC, Lesnar made a triumphant return at UFC 200 in July 2016 when he beat Mark Hunt via unanimous decision, before his failed drug tests were revealed.

"I told [Lesnar] to relax and calm down, we get it, there's going to be a fight, calm down", White said.

If the suspension is five months, Lesnar could be back as soon as UFC 232 on December 29 in Las Vegas, but if the suspension is six months, his return would have to wait until 2019.

Cormier called Lesnar into the cage, and Lesnar shoved Cormier in the chest while the fighters traded insults to hype a potential future bout.
