Djokovic Optimistic Over Wimbledon Injury

The scoreboard said 6-4 6-3 6-4 to Rafael Nadal but it was an uneasy two-and-a-half hours for the Spanish world number one as he labored past Kazakhstan's Mikhail Kukushkin into the Wimbledon third round on Thursday.

Djokovic's work on court itself was rather straightforward, as he beat Zeballos 6-1 6-2 6-3, though there was a slight concern as he called the trainer on court to massage his left thigh.

No. 2 seed Nadal, a two-time champion, tries to get back to the quarterfinals at the All England Club for the first time since 2011, meeting 93rd-ranked Jiri Vesely of the Czech Republic, while No. 12 Djokovic, who's won Wimbledon three times, meets 40th-ranked Karen Khachanov of Russian Federation.

They would mean umpires could enforce the 25-seconds between points rule which many feel Nadal pushes to the limit.

The last time Djokovic had to venture on to an outside court at the All England Club was in 2009, when he played a fourth-round match against Dudi Sela on Court 3. "I can't understand when I make a mistake, I put my shorts the other way", Nadal said to laughter. I think I was very quick during the match. When I say 'not major, ' if it was major I'd be pulling out from the tournament.

FORMER champions Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal breezed into the third round with the minimum of fuss yesterday.

Fourth seed Alexander Zverev won 15 of the last 17 games to see off Australian James Duckworth 7-5 6-2 6-0.

El-Mazbouh has apologised in another video, claiming that she "didn't mean to offend all Egyptians". She also accused men of sexually harassing her and even called Egyptian women "prostitutes".

Meanwhile, top-seeded Simona Halep of Romania began her journey with 6-2, 6-4 first-round victory over Kurumi Nara.

Not only has Federer not lost a set in the tournament so far, and not only hasn't he been broken so far, he hasn't so much as faced a single break point.

This is not the first time the Spaniard has been spotted a supermarket. Third seed Muguruza, 24, next faces Belgium's Alison Van Uytvanck.

Nadal has often struggled to get off to a solid start at Wimbledon and fell at the fourth round stage to Giles Muller past year. He reached the quarterfinals on his Wimbledon debut in 2014 but had to retire with a hip injury in the first round past year.

Nick Kyrgios eased past Robin Haase 6-3 6-4 7-5, to book a third-round clash with Kei Nishikori, who accounted for Bernard Tomic 2-6 6-3 7-6 (9/7) 7-5.

World number one Nadal is routinely warned for slow play between points.
